Ebola in DRC: United States announces an additional $267 million aid

On September 23, the United States announced an additional $267 million in humanitarian and health aid to support the fight against the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. This aid aims to strengthen treatment units, deploy teams for dignified and secure burials, acquire protective equipment, enhance surveillance, provide essential health supplies, and trace contacts. The U.S. remains the leading aid provider, having already allocated $887 million, with over $780 million from the State Department, and continues its response in partnership with the DRC, Uganda, and other regional countries.
