CAF Confederation Cup: AS Maniema Union learns its group-stage opponents

The CAF Confederation Cup group-stage draw took place in Cairo on October 28. AS Maniema Union, the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s only remaining club in the competition, was drawn in Group C with Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars and Zambia’s Red Arrows. Its final opponent will be either Mauritania’s AS Douanes or Guinea’s Hafia FC, depending on the outcome of their suspended tie. To reach the quarter-finals, Maniema Union will need to collect as many points as possible at home and manage its long trips effectively.
