The Court of Appeal in Abuja, in a two-to-one split decision, affirmed the order restraining the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing or participating in any state congresses organized by the Senator David Mark-led interim caretaker committee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The court also awarded N10 million in costs against the party. The ADC insists the judgment does not affect candidates produced through direct primaries. Atiku is heading to the Supreme Court, alleging forged INEC documents over a 'fake' nomination upload.
