World Cup 2026: corpse found in front of stadium where Iran team trains

A decaying corpse was found in the trunk of a car parked in a supermarket lot opposite the Caliente stadium in Tijuana, where Iran's national football team is training for the 2026 World Cup. Police opened the gray Toyota SUV and discovered the body wrapped in a black bag with signs of violence. Tijuana, one of Mexico's most dangerous cities, recorded over 1,200 homicides in 2025. The Iranian team, forced to base itself in Tijuana due to tensions with the United States, is under heavy security.
