NDC exempts Obi, Kwankwaso from anti-defection oath

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has exempted its presidential candidate Peter Obi and vice-presidential candidate Rabiu Kwankwaso from the party's anti-defection oath. Party National Secretary Ikenna Enekweizu stated that the administrative decision excludes the top candidates, although the party constitution requires all candidates to sign. The oath aims to prevent defections, especially among lawmakers.
