Driving schools: after inspection of 569 establishments, the State announces cleanup of the sector

The Ivorian government inspected 569 driving schools, including 302 in Abidjan and 267 inland, revealing establishments operating without authorization and non-compliance with official programs. DGTTC Director General Oumar Sacko emphasized that a driver's license must remain a certificate of competence. Reforms are planned, including fee harmonization and institutional support, along with a workshop with stakeholders. Koko Guillaume, president of UNAPAE-CI, welcomed the initiative, stating it will enhance the profession.
