South African apples are the first exports from the continent under the newly launched China Granted Zero Tariffs, with a 24-ton shipment clearing customs in Shenzhen. This policy, effective from May 2026, has reduced tariffs from 10% to zero, enhancing product competitiveness. Other agricultural products from African countries, such as Tanzanian honey and Rwandan chilies, will soon follow, providing new development opportunities for African businesses.
