'We've no hand in Uber's exit' - FAAN opens up on disputes with e-hailing firms

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) denied any responsibility for Uber's decision to discontinue its ride-hailing operations in Nigeria, stating that the decision was based on the company's own economic and regulatory considerations. FAAN Managing Director, Mrs. Olubunmi Kuku, emphasized that passenger safety is the authority's priority, which has also received numerous complaints regarding ride-hailing services. FAAN had disagreements with some e-hailing companies over liability issues and the management of dedicated pickup zones at airports.
