Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games: “All infrastructure is 100% delivered,” says Diagna Ndiaye

Mamadou Diagna Ndiaye, president of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Organising Committee, says all planned venues and infrastructure for the event have been completed. He acknowledged that finishing work remains in surrounding areas, particularly around Iba Mar Diop Stadium, but said it should not disrupt the Games. The competition will run from October 31 to November 13, 2026, and will be the first Olympic event held in Africa. Canal+ Sénégal says subscribers will be able to watch all competitions on RTS 1 and RTS 2, while Ndiaye promised surprises at the opening ceremony.
