DRC: Need to Strengthen Institutional and Logistical Capacities in Health, Fisheries, Livestock, and Environment Sectors for Better Resilience Against Health Emergencies

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Health, Fisheries, Livestock, and Environment sectors face institutional and logistical weaknesses that compromise their ability to manage health emergencies. Experts have described this situation as 'catastrophic' and recommended strengthening organizational and technical capacities. During a workshop in Kinshasa, the secretaries general of the relevant ministries emphasized the need for shared responsibility between the government and its partners.
