Ex-Tigania East MP Josphat Gichuge Arrested in Ksh56 Million Land Scam Probe

Former Tigania East MP Josphat Gichuge Mwirabua has been arrested by the DCI for defrauding investors of over Ksh56 million in a land fraud scheme in Kajiado. In a first case dating back to 2016, buyers paid approximately Ksh16.4 million for plots that were later transferred to others without their knowledge. In a second case, investors paid Ksh40.14 million for land promised with title deeds and greenhouses, but neither titles nor infrastructure were delivered. The DPP has approved charges of obtaining money by false pretences against the former MP.
