NAFDAC orders recall of sachet alcohol drinks below 200ml

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has ordered manufacturers to recall alcoholic beverages packaged in sachets and containers below 200 ml. This decision aims to reduce alcohol-related harm, particularly among young people. Manufacturers are required to inventory and destroy the affected products under the agency's supervision, at their own cost. The national alcohol policy has been launched to regulate the production and consumption of alcohol in Nigeria.
