Benue youths take fight to kidnappers, rescue victims, apprehend suspects

Youths in Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State, launched a community-led rescue operation after several people were kidnapped along the Ugbokolo–Aokpe Road. They successfully rescued the victims and arrested three suspects, with a relative alleging they are of Fulani origin. The incident highlights ongoing security concerns on rural roads in Benue State and increasing community participation in security efforts. The police spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
