Journalist Hamurabi Huesca Manzano killed in Mexico’s Oaxaca

Hamurabi Huesca Manzano, owner of the news website Pinotepa Comunica and a taxi driver, was shot dead in Oaxaca, Mexico. The attack was carried out by an armed group, possibly during a dispute between criminal groups, targeting a man known as 'El Dario,' who was wounded and died in hospital. Authorities have identified the suspects but did not link Huesca Manzano's journalism to the attack. The death was confirmed by San Miguel Tlacamama's mayor, Antonio Olmedo Mendoza, and Article 19 demanded that his journalistic work be prioritized in the investigation.
