The proposal allocates 490 billion CFA francs to investments under the 2026–2031 government roadmap, across the “Protect,” “Transform” and “Unite” priorities, as well as cross-cutting programs. The government also revised the 2026 budget to 2,744.2 billion CFA francs and forecast a deficit of 247.6 billion CFA francs, or 3.4% of GDP. Parliament must still examine and adopt the 2027 budget.
