In the footsteps of Houphouët-Boigny, over 300 Christians pray for a peaceful Côte d'Ivoire

Over 300 Christian faithful, gathered by the Conference of Pentecostal and Evangelical Bishops of Côte d'Ivoire (CEPE-CI), undertook a national pilgrimage on June 12-13, 2026, following the footsteps of President Félix Houphouët-Boigny. Led by Bishop General Jean Kinapefan Koné, they prayed at the Foundation for Peace Research, Houphouët-Boigny's family vault, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Peace for peace, stability, and President Alassane Ouattara. Sponsor Zoro Bi Ballo Épiphane, president of the High Authority for Good Governance, called for integrity, transparency, and service. The pilgrimage ended with a mass in Bouaflé.
