Bayern, Kane and Olise to inaugurate a 2027 Africa Cup of Nations stadium

Kenyan President William Ruto announced that Bayern Munich and Ajax Amsterdam will play a friendly on January 5, 2027, to inaugurate Nairobi’s Raila Odinga International Stadium, also known as Talanta Stadium. The modern venue is designed to hold 60,000 spectators, who could see Harry Kane and Michael Olise if they are included in Bayern’s squad. Kenya hopes the high-profile match will showcase its preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which it is co-hosting with Uganda and Tanzania, and demonstrate its readiness to stage the tournament.

He says his company works with governments to prepare such projects for private and institutional investment without using public budget funds.
