The president of the National Autonomous Electoral Commission (CENA), Sacca Lafia, announced the opening of voting operations for the presidential election scheduled for April 12, 2026, with 7,897,287 registered voters across 17,562 polling stations. This election is the first organized after the reform of the institutional calendar, aiming to synchronize electoral mandates into a single seven-year cycle.
