Urgent review after two migrant boats land on Kent beaches

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood has ordered an urgent review after two migrant boats reached Kent beaches without being intercepted at sea. Twenty-one migrants were detained at Samphire Hoe on Tuesday, and five others were detained near Folkestone on Monday, marking the first undetected landing in a year. A total of 154 migrants arrived in three boats on Tuesday, bringing the total for the year to 17,784, a decrease of 44.7% compared to the previous year.
