National Cacao and Chocolate Days: Challenges of Sustainability in Coffee and Cacao Sectors

The tenth edition of the National Cacao and Chocolate Days concluded on September 3rd at the exhibition park in Port-Bouët. The event provided an opportunity to review the past campaign, analyze structural and market constraints, and identify opportunities to enhance the sector's resilience, although the focus was mainly on producer prices. The Minister of Agriculture emphasized that these days should also showcase the cocoa economy's dynamics internationally. Côte d’Ivoire, the world's leading cacao producer since 1978/79, accounts for over 40% of global supply with an annual production of more than two million tons.
