Trump warns Netanyahu: ‘You’ll be on your own’ if attacks on Iran continue

US President Donald Trump has warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that he might find himself fighting on his own if Israel returns to war with Iran. Trump called Netanyahu and told him to stop strikes, after the escalation began with Israel's deadly bombardment of Beirut, Lebanon. Iran responded with missiles at northern Israel, and Israel then struck Iranian air defence systems and a petrochemical plant. Both sides agreed to pause attacks after the most serious escalation since a ceasefire took effect in April.
