Back to School 2026-2027 in DRC: Nearly 31 Million Students Expected

Nearly 31 million students, both girls and boys, are expected for the 2026-2027 school year, according to the Minister of National Education, Raïssa Malu. During the opening ceremony in Kinshasa, she emphasized the government's commitment to keep schools operational despite challenges of insecurity and conflict in certain regions. The minister also expressed solidarity with students and teachers in territories occupied by rebel forces.
