Electoral Reform: Simone Gbagbo Calls for an Organ

Simone Gbagbo, president of the MGC, called for the establishment of a new, fully independent electoral commission, excluding representatives of political parties and the government. She criticized the current setup, where the ruling party holds a majority, and proposed a body of 11 to 15 members chosen from individuals who have never been party members, through a call for applications.
