Abdoul Al Islam, a Cameroonian cyberactivist, has died after tearing portraits of President Paul Biya on TikTok in 2025. He was arrested and detained at Yaoundé-Kondengui Central Prison, and released in May 2026. His health deteriorated after release, leading to hospitalization.
