Ghanaian teenager killed in New York: Trump agrees to grant his mother a visa, Mamdani says

New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Donald Trump had agreed to immediately grant a visa to Doris Adu Gyamfi, the mother of 15-year-old Ghanaian Javits Frimpong, who was killed in the Bronx. The teenager was shot on October 29 near Crotona Park while walking to school; his father says an incident involving school bullying may have escalated into the attack. Ghana’s Foreign Minister, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, thanked both leaders and said his ministry was helping the mother prepare her application, despite the U.S. suspension of visa processing for 75 countries.
