War in Ukraine: Patriot Missiles Are Running Out, a Figure Reveals Kyiv’s Difficulties

A Washington Post investigation published on October 15 reported that Ukraine had only ten Patriot interceptor missiles left on October 7. A Ukrainian official told the newspaper that most have since been used, while a CNN source said the stockpiles are now completely depleted. Deliveries have reportedly been irregular since May, and Kyiv has no guarantees about future supplies, although NATO says shipments are continuing. The shortage comes amid tensions between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump over Starlink, intelligence sharing, and Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil facilities.
