Body believed to be missing man recovered at Strand Beach

The body of an adult man has been recovered from Strand Beach following the disappearance of two men in the surf on Wednesday afternoon. Search operations were launched after two colleagues were swept out by rip currents while trying to assist a friend in distress. While the body is believed to be that of a 39-year-old man, formal identification is in progress in cooperation with police and forensic pathology services.
