Bill seeking establishment of teaching hospital in Manchok passes second reading

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday passed for second reading a bill to establish the Federal University of Applied Sciences Teaching Hospital in Manchok, Kaduna State. Sponsored by Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, the bill aims to provide clinical training for medical professionals and expand specialist healthcare in Southern Kaduna. Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau endorsed the bill, which was referred to the relevant committee for further action within four weeks.
