Burkina Faso: At least 11 civilians killed in jihadist attack in the North

At least 11 civilians, mostly army auxiliaries, were killed in an attack by Al-Qaeda-affiliated jihadists in northern Burkina Faso. The attack occurred in the commune of Bagaré, where heavily armed terrorists set fire to shops and vehicles. The Group for Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) claimed responsibility for the attack, targeting a post of 'volunteers for the defense of the homeland' (VDP).
