Rangers moved closer to winning a ninth Nigeria Premier Football League title following a 2-0 away win over Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium. They maintained top spot with 62 points from 36 matches. Rivers United also secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Abia Warriors, with goals from Wasiu Falolu, Timothy Zachariah, and Bello Babatunde. Defending champions Remo Stars lost 2-1 to Enyimba.
