Customs appoints Mamman Ali acting Adamawa/Taraba Comptroller

The Nigeria Customs Service appointed Deputy Comptroller Mamman Ali as acting head of its Adamawa/Taraba Command. Ali previously coordinated the Customs Anti-Smuggling Unit’s Operation Whirlwind in Zone E; he succeeds Mohammed Tako, who was promoted to Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Zone B in Kaduna. At the handover ceremony in Yola, Tako said seizures recorded during his one-year tenure had a total Duty Paid Value of ₦535,975,190 and cited strengthened joint border operations.
