Tyler Perry stated that he no longer considers marriage, citing fears of the financial consequences of divorce. In an interview on the Jennifer Hudson Show, he explained that divorce was the reason he preferred to remain single. Perry, who has never been married, had an eleven-year relationship with model Gelila Bekele, with whom he shares a son. He also plans to move to Puerto Rico in early 2027.
