Poland 2026: Falconets cage Malawi 2-0 in Ikenne, eye win in Lilongwe

Nigeria's U-20 girls, the Falconets, secured a 2-0 victory over Malawi in the first leg of the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup qualifiers in Ikenne. After a frustrating first half, an own goal by Maureen Kenneth opened the scoring, followed by a second goal from Kindness Ifeanyi. The win earned the team 1 million Naira from Hon. Kunle Soname, president of Remo Stars FC. The return leg is scheduled for May 9 at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
