Malaysia offers to invite Myanmar leader in Rohingya repatriation push

Malaysia has offered to invite Myanmar's military leader, Min Aung Hlaing, for an official visit to expedite the repatriation of Rohingya refugees. Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim stated that this invitation could mark a new step for the Myanmar president, who has been seeking international legitimacy since the 2021 coup. He emphasized the need for a different diplomatic approach to resolve the Rohingya crisis, as they do not possess Myanmar citizenship.
