Nasa tells ISS astronauts to shelter during air leak repair attempt

Five of seven ISS astronauts were ordered to shelter in the SpaceX Dragon 'Freedom' due to an increasing air leak in the Russian segment. Two Russian cosmonauts, commander Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and flight engineer Sergei Mikaev, attempted to repair the leak in the PrK transfer tunnel of the Zvezda module. NASA disapproved of their method using a saw and ordered safe-haven procedures before recalling them. The air leaks have persisted for about six years.
