Agriculture: West Africa aims to accelerate seed circulation

As the African Forum on Food Systems in Kigali approaches, West Africa aims to remove barriers to regional seed trade. During a regional meeting organized by the Centre of Excellence for Seed Systems in Africa (CESSA), over 200 participants noted that, despite progress, the marketing of approved seeds from one country to another remains challenging. Natasha Kofoworola Quist, regional director of AGRA, emphasized the need to connect scientists, institutions, and producers in the region.
