Gov Otti orders investigation as two Abia officials block civil servant's July salary

The Director-General of the Office of the Due Process and Public Procurement Bureau in Abia State, Mr. Oluebube Chukwu, allegedly blocked the July 2026 salary of a driver at the Government House in Umuahia over an undisclosed offense. Governor Alex Otti was made aware of this situation during a monthly media chat and expressed his unawareness of such actions. He ordered the Secretary to the State Government, Emmanuel Meribeole, to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
