FCC warns MDAs of tougher penalties as NPA backs reforms

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) warned Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) of tougher penalties for violations of the Federal Character Act, during an interactive session with the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) in Abuja. Committee Chairman Hon. Peter Eze announced a new compliance framework with stricter monitoring and stiffer penalties. NPA Managing Director Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho reaffirmed the Authority's commitment to full compliance with federal principles and praised the FCC's reforms for transparency and accountability.
