Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso join Nigeria Democratic Congress in major political shake-up

Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, prominent opposition figures in Nigeria, have announced their switch to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of next year's presidential elections. Previously part of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), they are considering a joint ticket to challenge President Bola Tinubu. Obi, popular among young voters in the south, and Kwankwaso, influential in the north, called for national unity and an end to infighting within the opposition.
