War in Sudan: Several Infectious Diseases Spread in Various Regions

Sudan is facing a severe public health crisis as infectious diseases like dengue and cholera spread, worsened by over three years of armed conflict. More than 680 cases of dengue have been reported in Blue Nile State, while nearly 2,900 cholera cases have been recorded in Darfur and Kordofan, resulting in 247 deaths. Shortages of medicines and medical personnel complicate the situation, and access to clean drinking water remains limited, increasing the risk of disease transmission.
