Dr Johan Dreesen now chairs the Global Alliance for Livestock Veterinary Medicines

Dr Johan Dreesen has been appointed the new Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Global Alliance for Livestock Veterinary Medicines, succeeding Dr Isabelle Dieuzy-Labaye, who retired on September 15, 2026. With decades of experience in the animal health sector, Johan has run an Animal Health Consultancy and is a member of several committees within GALVmed. He expressed his honor in taking on this role at a crucial time for the organization, which focuses on improving access to animal health solutions for smallholder farmers in Sub-Saharan Africa.
