Pastef Bill Proposal: Government Reaction Following Official Second Reading

The government reacted to the adoption of bill proposal n°11/2026 amending the Electoral Code, which received 128 favorable votes. This adoption, in accordance with Article 73 of the Senegalese Constitution, was requested by the President to clarify the text after two different versions were transmitted. Marie Rose Khady Fatou Faye, Secretary of State, confirmed that the vote adhered to constitutional procedures.
