Health workers responding to Ebola in Rwampara, Bunia, and at the Kasenyi treatment center threaten to suspend activities unless their unpaid allowances are settled within 48 hours. Rwampara staff say they have gone 77 days without allowances or communication fees and allege that payroll lists include fictitious names. Congolese workers in Kasenyi are seeking unpaid allowances for May, June, August and September 2026, and say their Ugandan colleagues are paid regularly. Health authorities have not yet publicly responded, while a suspension could disrupt the outbreak response and patient care.
