Recently freed from prison by Diomaye, Mouhamadou Diouf is back behind bars

Mouhamadou Diouf, known as “Gana Gueye,” was arrested during the night of October 17–18, 2026, in a police patrol in Wakhinane-Nimzatt. The 37-year-old painter, who lives in Yeumbeul, had been sought following complaints from residents near Bou Bess market about alleged nighttime thefts involving violence and a bladed weapon. He had recently been released through a presidential pardon while serving a one-year prison sentence. Held in police custody, he was due to be brought before the prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye court.
