Delta: Police rescue kidnap victim, arrest suspected armed robbers

The Delta State Police rescued a male kidnap victim unhurt on 11 June 2026 after a coordinated intelligence-led operation, without paying any ransom. Three suspects, Ewendeze De-Grace (19), Eruweghene Amede (20), and Chukwuemeka Arinze (21), were arrested in Asaba on 12 June with a locally fabricated Beretta pistol; they are members of the Aro Bagger Confraternity. In a separate raid on 10 June in Kwale, a suspected drug distribution point was busted, and Ananyi Vivian (45) was arrested. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend fleeing suspects.
