Ivory Coast: Cameroonian community celebrates its national day in Abidjan

The Cameroonian community in Ivory Coast celebrated the 54th edition of Cameroon's National Day on May 28, 2026, at the Sofitel Hotel Ivoire in Abidjan. Ambassador Marie-Yvette Koloko recalled the historical significance of May 20 and highlighted modernization efforts in the economy and infrastructure under President Paul Biya. She praised the excellent bilateral relations with Ivory Coast and mentioned a forthcoming visa exemption agreement. The Ivorian government representative, Evariste Yapi Koffi, called for stronger economic cooperation.
