Patrice Motsepe, president of CAF, will increase the annual subsidy for each member federation from $200,000 to $700,000, a 250% rise, aiming to reach a total of 1 million dollars. This boost is intended to strengthen federation operations, financial stability, and develop African football through infrastructure and youth programs. The funds' origin remains unclear, but they follow a strategic CAF conference held in October in Sal, Cape Verde. Motsepe also continues to raise prize money for various competitions despite limited involvement in daily management of CAF.
