Russia confirms 16 Cameroonian soldiers killed in Ukraine war

Russia has confirmed that 16 Cameroonian soldiers were killed while fighting in its war against Ukraine. The Cameroonian Foreign Ministry called on the families of the deceased to contact officials in Yaoundé. This marks the first time Cameroon has discussed the involvement of its nationals in the conflict, without specifying how the men were recruited or the circumstances of their deaths.
