The coach of the Leopards of the DRC, Sébastien Desabre, stated that the team must embrace its new status during the CAN qualifiers. He emphasized the importance of competition among players to strengthen the team. The first match is scheduled against Equatorial Guinea on September 24 in Kinshasa, followed by an away game against Zimbabwe on September 28. Fixation matches against Uganda are also planned for October 2 and 5 in South Africa.
