Pape Thiaw tipped to replace Khaled Ben Yahia at MC Alger

MC Alger is reportedly considering appointing Pape Thiaw, who has been without a coaching job since leaving Senegal’s national team in July, as the future of current coach Khaled Ben Yahia remains uncertain. WinWin reports that Ben Yahia has expressed a wish to leave amid pressure and is expected to discuss a possible departure with the club’s officials. The situation follows MC Alger’s 3-0 win over Enugu Rangers, which secured qualification for the African Champions League despite growing criticism of the coach’s decisions. Thiaw previously led Senegal to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title and qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
